The Mechanics of Nutrition

It is strange to think that we can often take better care of our car than we do of our bodies and nutrition.

We normally get our car serviced regularly, change the oil, filters, etc and this helps it go much better and last longer. Our bodies work in a similar way.

Yet what are we doing to make sure that they work at their best?

You wouldn’t put dirty petrol into your car and expect it to go well.

Yet how is our own internal fuel? Are we fuelling our bodies with the required nutrition and healthy foods/fuel that allow us to operate at our best?

Taking the Easy Way Out

Unfortunately for many of us, we may be taking the easy route of eating too much junk food, fast food or overly processed food.

According to the World Health Organization, globally there has been an increased intake of energy-dense foods that are high in fat and sugars.

While convenience-wise this is great, what is it doing for our body or mind? These are foods we can handle in small quantities but we were never meant to live on them.

Real Food for Real People

The body functions better when we eat foods as near to their natural state as possible:

Fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, naturally reared meat, wild fish, nuts, seeds, wholegrain bread, dairy products etc.

These foods help generate health in the body.

If you are out of shape, have poor energy, lacking in nutrition and drive etc, try including more of these natural foods in your diet.

In particular, people should be conscious of their protein intake.

Heart Health Support

Protein is so important in our lives. It helps form a shapely body, contributes to bone health and is vital to our well-being.

It is also the most filling of the 3 macronutrients (Protein, Fat and Carbohydrates).

This makes it especially important to those of us who want to get or stay in shape.

Athletes are very conscious of their protein intake and nutrition as are many health-conscious people who are into healthy ageing.

Yet what would you think if I said it can also help lower your bad cholesterol and contribute to your heart health.

This would make it a very special valuable protein.

It would also make it particularly interesting to people who are conscious of their shape and heart health.

A New Dimension in Protein

Lipo-Clear from Tony Quinn Educohealth is a dairy-based protein drink that also has some added ingredients that include Oat Beta Glucans (a special type of EU approved soluble fibre that has been shown to help lower cholesterol) and Vitamins D and K2-7.

featured product

Essentially what Vitamin K2-7 does is it helps the calcium you are taking in go to your bones instead of building up in other unwanted areas.

Vitamin D (often called the sunshine vitamin) is also added to further improve calcium absorption. This can be especially useful during the low-sunlight, dark days of winter. It also contributes to: the normal function of the immune system and maintenance of normal bones, normal muscle function and normal teeth.

Each serving also contains over 20gms of quality casein protein.

It is easy to use. Just add some water and shake and you have a quick snack.

A Tasty Treat

However, even the best of things can prove to be an obstacle if they don’t taste good.

This isn’t the case with the Lipo-Clear as it’s flavoured with almost 3gms of dried fresh Raspberries making it probably the tastiest Protein drink you have ever tried.

Absolutely delicious when made on water, coconut water, oat or almond milk.

Once tasted, you will know why it is such a firm favourite with Tony Quinn Educohealth customers.

Study Time Comes Round Again

It’s that time of the year again and schools and colleges are open. The new terms have started and students are getting back into study mode.

It’s time to dust off the mental cobwebs of the summer break and get down to the serious business of learning.

This can involve learning in many different ways, through lectures, videos, reading books, internet searches etc.

In doing so, we use our brain to help process this information and frame it in a form that will help us succeed in whatever field we are studying.

For many, this can be quite taxing with long hours spent studying vast amounts of information. This can often result in tiredness and fatigue.

To help keep us more alert or mentally energised many turn to energy drinks or copious amounts of coffee.

While this can work short-term, long-term it can lead to many people being more highly strung and irritable and disrupted sleep patterns.

Coffee in itself doesn’t have a negative impact, but when you overdo it or mix it with stress, sugar and a sedentary lifestyle it can create a perfect storm that can really come back to bite you.

So on one hand you are getting energy yet on the other you could be making yourself more hyper or stressed.

The high-sugar, high-caffeine, energy drinks are another matter.

The consumption of these energy booster drinks is becoming a growing concern for many in the medical field.

Health Studies

More studies highlighting potential health concerns are now coming more to light.

One such study is the John Higgins of McGovern Medical School in Houston.

In this study, 44 non-smoking medical students in their 20’s after just one 24 oz energy drink were found to have impairment in blood flow.

Before the energy drink, vessel dilation was on average 5.1% in diameter, after consuming the energy drink it fell to 2.8% diameter. This suggests acute impairment of vascular function. All of this occurred within just 90 minutes of taking the energy drink. (1).

Good blood flow is a very important aspect of cardiovascular health.

Other studies show significant increases in blood pressure from acute energy drink consumption. (2)

These are not very encouraging signs for those of us fond of the energy buzz we get from high-sugar high-caffeine drinks.

The World Health Organization in 2014 expressed concern over the usage of high-sugar high-caffeine drinks by younger people. (3)

What can we do then to safely give us the energy we need to support us in our mental endeavours?

10 Tips to Naturally Support our Mental Alertness

Avoid screen time for 90 minutes before bed (The blue light from the screen may be interfering with the sleep-inducing hormone Melatonin in your brain).

Balance your sleep by getting a minimum of 7 to 9 hours a night.

Eat more natural protein-rich foods (these help supply the brain with amino acids that help make up neurotransmitters).

Protein-rich foods include lean meat, fish, free-range poultry, free-range eggs, dairy products, quinoa, nuts and seeds.

Include more fresh fruit, vegetables and grains like oatmeal, brown rice and millet in your diet.

Go easy on the alcohol (This can slow down brain function).

Cut out junk food: cakes, biscuits sweets, ice cream, chocolate, soft drinks etc.

Go easy on the fats and processed food: takeaways, fried food, white bread, white rice, pasta, pizzas, sugar, etc.

Do some form of exercise 3 times a week: gym, running, tennis, golf, etc

Learn to meditate or do some form of relaxation exercise every day.

All of these tips will help support you in getting your best results in your studies; however, another way to help support your mental health is by taking the right health supplements.

Help from Nature

Firstly for those who are constantly tired and wiped out, there is an excellent nutritional support formula that helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.

This natural formula is called Mind Focus from Tony Quinn Educohealth.

It is sugar and caffeine-free.

Contains Pantothenic Acid among other nutrients; that helps reduce tiredness and fatigue and it also contributes to normal mental performance.

Another important brain function is it is involved in is the synthesis of some neurotransmitters.

(Neuro-transmitters are like the brain sparks that carry messages from one brain cell to another).

Well-known neurotransmitters include Dopamine, Serotonin and Acetylcholine.

Neuro-transmitters are very important to our mental health.

How is your brain sparking?

Start Today

Why not start today and adopt some of the healthy mind tips from above into your daily routine? The more you take them on board the better you should feel and that can have a positive effect on your ability to study.

Also, go easy on the coffee and the energy drinks.

When your energy goes south instead of hitting the caffeine and sugar, try Mind Focus to help relieve that tiredness and fatigue.

It can be an ideal support for you in your more brain-taxing moments.

super you weight loss

Is This Slimming’s Greatest Secret?

Did you ever see someone lose weight where they looked awful and you said to yourself, “They shouldn’t have bothered”?

They appear to be at their right weight yet their face is so gaunt, their arms and legs are skinny and they still have a bit of a tummy.

It’s amazing how the person can get so fixated with the weighing scales yet find it very hard to see the truth of them self in the mirror.

Who wants to look great on the scales and terrible in the mirror?

Unfortunately they have made the cardinal mistake of slimming; they have lost valuable muscle in their effort to lose weight.

Muscle is what gives you shape, but it also has another very important function, it helps support our metabolic rate (our body’s ability to burn fat for energy).

Why get rid of the very thing that not only gives you good shape, but also helps you maintain that shape?

Searching the Web for Answers

When faced with this problem people then usually go on the web for answers.

We type in: best ways to lose weight, fastest way to lose weight, diet pills, slimming tablets, weight loss programs, easy ways to lose weight, quick weight loss, diets to lose weight quick, tips to lose weight, etc.

The amount of information we get back can be bewildering and unfortunately much of it is not always that accurate.

If anything it can leave you even more confused trying to separate the facts from the fiction.

However two great markers of successful weight loss are as follows.

The Core Secrets of Successful Weight Loss

The answer is always fat-loss not just weight loss. (Who wants to lose their best curves or shapely muscle?)

This approach contrasts hugely from standard weight loss information based on the advice of taking less calories in and doing more exercise to burn existing calories.

Muscle is one of your biggest allies in helping you win your shape battle.

The next step is to firm up or even gain more muscle. That is how you get in better shape. Simply put, lose fat and gain muscle.

A Happy Mirror-Image

Let’s face it I’m sure you wouldn’t mind what you weighed if you saw a buffed, toned, shapely-figure looking back at you in the mirror.

This would allow you to put on your favourite clothes and strut your stuff showing off your great figure or physique.

It would give you a great lift and is such a confidence-booster.

What then can you do to set this process in motion?

12 Tips to Help Get You in Your Best Shape

· Eat natural unprocessed food: Fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meat, fish, free range poultry, whole grains, quinoa and more sparingly nuts and seeds.

· Cut out junk food: Cakes, biscuits, sweets, ice-cream, chocolate, etc

· Cut out sugar, sugary drinks, take-away foods and go easy on the alcohol.

· Eat 4 to 6 smaller meals a day.

· Eat protein at every meal.

· Weight-train for 3 to 5 times a week in the gym.

· Go for a 20 minute walk every day.

· Get 8 hours sleep every night.

· Switch to healthy substitutes for less desirable foods.

· Keep a journal to monitor your progress.

· Give yourself realistic goals and try holding yourself to them.

· Measure your waist and check yourself out in the mirror rather than weigh yourself on the scales.

All of these tips are a really good idea and can make a big difference in helping you get in your best shape.

However there is also something else that can make a big difference here and that is, taking the right health supplements.

Health Supplements

In the last 50 years there has been a huge growth in the health supplement industry.

During that time has seen many breakthroughs in the field of nutritional science.

Some of the most interesting of these being in the field of weight-loss and getting in shape.

There are many products on the market today claiming to help you do this.

Unfortunately often many of these don’t deliver on their promise.

Health Supplements That Have Proven the Test of Time

For over 40 years we in Tony Quinn Educohealth have been pioneering a unique approach towards getting in shape.

It involves working along with the body’s natural ability to both, burn fat and firm muscle.

During that time we have tweaked and improved our already great approach to make it more effective.

Back in 1985 when we introduced the amino-acid formula Amino-Or they were an instant sensation. A few years later we added in another amino-acid formula Amino-Energise and customer feedback was even better.

In the last few years we have added in the delicious Proform Protein shakes and the mineral Magnesium and this has taken things onto a different level.

(The Proform Protein shakes can be made into tasty protein shakes, desserts, or can be added to smoothies. This makes them so convenient and easy to use).

Youthful Ageing – Can it be done?

Ageing is a funny thing. It’s as if one day you are looking at this young healthy person in the mirror then all of a sudden that person is replaced by this older person looking back at you.

Does it have to be like this?

The Winning and Losing in Ageing

Age is something we all face. It’s part of our journey through this world. Yet how is it some people seem to do it so much better than others?

It’s as if they are taking sly sips from the Fountain of Youth, defying the ageing process and living an adventurous, happy, healthy, later life.

So how can we retain that vitality and health as we age?

One thing that really helps is a healthy lifestyle.

7 Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle

Natural foods help give you a more natural body. Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meats, fish, free range poultry, whole grains, pulses, beans, nuts, seeds, vegetarian and vegan proteins etc.

Cut down on processed foods like take-aways, cakes, biscuits, sweets, ice-cream, chocolate, sugar, sugary drinks, etc.

Cut down on alcohol and reduce or stop smoking.

Do some resistance exercise (weight training), three to four times a week.

Go for a 20 minute walk every day, and try to get a minimum of 8 hours sleep every night.

Cut down on screen-time (computers, phones, TV’s etc). Especially for two hours before bed. (For more information on this, check out blue light screens and the natural sleep inducing hormone melatonin).

Science and Ageing

Another challenge we face as we age is that our bodies are continually being bombarded by toxins called free radicals. They attack and damage our cells and have been implicated in contributing to the negative signs of ageing.

These negative signs include everything from arthritis and asthma right down to heart disease and cancer, and are also implicated in the wrinkling of the skin.

We need a certain amount of free-radicals, but our problems begin where they start to over-tax our immune defences and our system can’t stop their destructive activity.

The problem is that as we age, free radical damage really does go into overdrive, and is widely acknowledged as one of the main contributory causes of ageing.

Free Radicals – Where They Come From

We can’t stop free radicals coming into the body.

They come in from stress, radiation, computers, mobile phones, sunlight, a lot of fats in our diet, alcohol, cigarette smoke, etc.

What can we do then to combat the damaging effect free radicals can have on our body?

Help From the Good Guys

This is where our own superhero defenders come into play. Our Body’s natural defence unit that deals with these nasty toxins is our immune system. This is largely fuelled by amazing defenders called antioxidants.

These antioxidants use their nutritional superpowers combating bacteria, viruses and toxins that threaten our body.

Chief among these are the Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and the minerals Zinc, Magnesium, Potassium and Selenium.

Other very useful antioxidants are Pomegranate, Green Tea, Ginseng, Broccoli-Sprout, Spirulina and Lycopene.

These are all very valuable antioxidants to have at our disposal to help support us in our advancing years.

A New Level of Antioxidant Support

There is already an antioxidant formula that contains all of these antioxidants and more.

It is called Cell Rejuvenation Mix by Tony Quinn Educohealth.

Together they help form a potent antioxidant defence unit, and come in an easy-to-use tablet form and can be taken with meals.

This makes them ideal to help provide you with the best of antioxidant support, with benefits that contribute to:

Normal skin and vision (Vit A).

Normal Immune Function (B12).

Reduction of tiredness and fatigue (Vit C, Magnesium and Vit B3).

Collagen Formation (Vit C).

Thyroid Function (Iodine).

Fertility (Zinc).

Respiratory health (Hesperitin).

Healthy Ageing (Lycophene).

Improve concentration and coordination (Panax Ginseng).

Normal bones, gums, teeth and hair health (Magnesium, Vit C and Biotin).

That’s some support for one antioxidant formula.

Start Where You Are At

Making a change in how you live can be easy for some and not so easy for others, yet we can all start taking steps to improve.

The big thing is do something and not just stand still and to try adopting some of the Healthy Lifestyle tips from earlier. They really can make such a difference for the better.

Including Tony Quinn Educohealth Cell Rejuvenation Mix in your daily regime could be a very good place to start.

It could be the ideal spark to ignite the whole process for you.

Obesity Increases Health Risks from Covid-19

Some very interesting news has come to light in relation to obesity and Covid-19. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the US, being overweight or obese can increase the risk of severe illness from Covid-19.

It has been known from early days in the pandemic, the risk factor associated with obesity and Covid-19.

Approximately 78% of US hospital patients admitted with Covid-19 (from March to December 2020) were either obese or overweight. (28.3% were overweight and 50.8% were obese). (1).

This is not good news for either the overweight or the obese.

What was already an uncomfortable position has now become a potential health concern.

What can be done to help lose this weight?

Doing the Same Thing That Didn’t Work Before

Tried all the diets, did all the exercise routines and still couldn’t seem to lose the weight? Even if it was lost, it usually shot right back up when the diet was broken.

Does this sound familiar? If so the chances are you have made the classic mistakes of weight loss.

6 Classic Mistakes of Weight Loss

· Don’t just lose weight, make sure it’s fat you lose.

· Don’t lose muscle (muscle helps support the body’s own fat-burning process).

· Don’t count calories (you could have the same amount of calories in a can of tuna as a small fruit cake but they will help give you two different bodies). Eat more nutritious foods instead.

· Don’t overdo it on the aerobics (This can help you lose valuable metabolism-supporting muscle).

· Don’t starve yourself (again this can help you lose muscle).

· Don’t become obsessed with the weighing scales. (There are times when you can be at the right weight but in the wrong shape, where you don’t look well and have lost it from your face and neck).

These are all common failings of weight loss regimes that let people down.

However here are a few healthy tips for a healthy more natural weight loss.

10 Healthy Tips to Help Get You in Shape

· Lose only what you don’t want (the fat hanging in the wrong places).

· Make sure to firm up your muscle tissue (the parts that help give you shape).

· Focus more on your measurements and how you look in the mirror than on what you weigh on the scales.

· Eat a more natural diet: lean meat, fish, free range poultry, low fat cheese, quinoa, fruit, vegetables, whole grains, beans, lentils, etc.

· Make sure to have a nutritious breakfast every day.

· Eat some form of protein at every meal.

· Cut down on processed foods: cakes, biscuits, sweets, ice-cream, chocolate, sugar, take-away food, pasta, pizzas, fried foods, processed cereals, etc.

· Go for a 20 minute walk every day.

· If possible do three weight training sessions a week.

· Keep a diary to help you set realistic goals and monitor how you are doing.

All these tips will help greatly stack the odds in your favour for healthy weight loss. However there is also another great way to help get you into your best healthy shape.

This involves using some unique natural health supplements that are a great support to those who want to lose that unwanted fat and firm up our muscle.

A Tried and Trusted System

Back in 1985 a revolutionary new weight-loss product came on the market. It was called Amino-Or and it took the weight-loss industry in Ireland by storm.

People started to use it and the results that came back were amazing. It quickly became a firm favourite with Tony Quinn Educohealth customers.

This continued until 1997 when an amazing new amino-acid formulation called Amino-Energise was introduced to accompany the Amino-Or.

This ‘Dynamic Duo’ then proceeded to get even better results and took the Tony Quinn Educohealth firming program onto a totally different level.

In 2017 two more valuable additions were added to this program in the shape of the delicious Proform Protein powder and the mineral Magnesium.

This new combination of these four firming-up powerhouses comprises

New Insights into Heart and Sex Health

Amazing botanicals from around the world! Some botanicals can lend very valuable support to our heart and sex health.

Pomegranate Extract helps you have a healthy cholesterol level, healthy heart and blood vessels.

Muira Puama helps for good sexual relations in women.

Rye Pollen helps with bladder and prostate health.

Maca helps in maintaining natural sexual activity and energy.

Urtica Dioica helps maintain heart health.

Korean Ginseng helps to maintain good sex health.

Go With the Flow (Nitric Oxide)

Men need it, women need it, animals need it and plants need it.

What we all need is an incredible small gaseous molecule called Nitric Oxide. This gas works as a signalling molecule in amazing ways in many types of body processes.

Basically it is a big player in how well our blood flows throughout our body.

Good blood flow is so important to our overall health.

The Importance of Good Blood Flow

Our blood is like an internal river. This river flows through a unique network of arteries, veins and capillaries. These work like an internal plumbing system that helps transport (through the blood) essential nutrients to vital parts of the body.

Everything from our heart, brain and nervous system right down to our skin, hair and sex organs are fed by this wonderful internal river.

A healthy blood flow can have such a beneficial effect on all of these things.

It is also a valuable support to those who like to work out due to its ability to support muscle pump.

It helps keep us firing on all cylinders.

Things That Can Adversely Affect Our Blood Flow

An unhealthy lifestyle, lack of exercise, smoking, eating junk food, etc. can contribute to diabetes, obesity and other health conditions. These health issues can cause poor circulation and adversely affect our blood flow.

This can result in symptoms like muscle-cramp, digestive issues, pain and cold feet or hands.

The Role of Nitric Oxide

Nearly every cell in the body produces Nitric Oxide (NO). It works as a vasodilator, relaxing the inner muscles of the blood vessels causing them to widen. This in turn helps increase blood flow.

The bad news is our body’s production of NO declines with age.

The good news is that given the right nutrients our body can make up more of its own NO.

The amino-acids L-Arganine and L-Citrulline help support NO production in our body. NO’s ability to support healthy blood flow is especially important for the healthy function of the heart, brain, digestion, sex glands and other organs.

It is also much in demand by athletes interested in having their circulation work at its best.

Combine Botanicals With Nitric Oxide

It would appear then to be a great idea to combine the above mentioned botanicals with the benefits to be had from NO’s blood flow qualities.

This has been done in the shape of a nutritional formula called Nova from Tony Quinn Educohealth.

It contains the NO precursors L-Arganine and L-Citrulline along with Pomegranate Extract, Macca, Rye Pollen, Muira Puama, Korean Ginseng, Urtica Dioica, as well as other nutrients that help support energy.

This makes Tony Quinn Educohealth Nova an ideal adult formula for both men and women.

Heart and Sex Health

With people so conscious of their heart health these days Tony Quinn Educohealth Nova can be an ideal support.

Why settle for a lower level of yourself when you can be firing on all cylinders?

Try Tony Quinn Educohealth Nova for yourself and experience the benefits of combining the botanicals with the modern nutritional support of the amazing amino-acids L-Arganine and L-Citrulline.

With helpful benefits like:

Maintaining natural sexual activity and energy

Helps you have a healthy cholesterol level, healthy heart and blood vessels

For good sexual relations in women

Bladder and prostate health

Why wait any longer?

Don’t you think it is about time you really went for it?

Defence Force – Are You Winning Your Inner War?

Did you know that at any given time there is a war going on inside of your body? On one side, in your defence, a force of health helps neutralise threats that attack and damage. The other, forces of illness, decay and degenerative ageing.

Normally the defence force is stronger than the attackers. However, when the attackers become stronger, that is when serious illness can start to gain ground.

Chief among these attackers are toxins called free radicals. Although our body needs a certain amount of them to help with certain body processes, the real problems occur when they flood the system.

These nasty little toxins attack and damage our cells and have been linked to among other things diabetes, heart disease, cancer, DNA damage and even the wrinkling of the skin…

Know Your Enemy

Free radicals can enter the body from many different directions.

Stress, air pollution, a lot of fats in our diet, radiation, alcohol, cigarette smoke, exercise, sunlight, etc.

We can’t stop them coming in but by not smoking and only drinking alcohol in moderation we can limit their supply.

Also, it is a good idea to adapt a more natural healthy lifestyle.

Our Crack Defence Unit

The good news is our body has its very own crack defensive unit that helps protect us from these free radicals. This defence unit (our immune system) is largely fuelled by nutrients called antioxidants.

These include the well-known vitamins, A, C, D, E, K, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12.

Valuable minerals like magnesium, zinc, potassium, selenium, copper, chromium and boron also play an important role.

They are like our very own internal team of superheroes that help keep us in good health.

You will be happy to know that you can get these antioxidants in your food and in particular if you are taking in your ‘5 a day’ servings of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Unfortunately for some of us, we may be neglecting this good advice and instead live more on convenience foods which can be more calorie-dense and nutrient-poor.

This can make it harder for us to load up on these valuable protectors.

A New Level of Defence

A great way around this is to take an antioxidant supplement. However, with so many antioxidants to choose from this can be a little confusing.

Here are a few tips to help you:

  • Make sure you get a formula strong enough to keep you at your best.
  • Always ensure Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K are in your antioxidant formula.
  • Make sure that your formula contains the important minerals magnesium, zinc, potassium, selenium, copper, chromium, and boron.
  • Other useful additions would be the herb Milk Thistle, Resveratrol (the wonder extract of grapes), Broccoli Sprout, Pomegranate extract, Green Tea, Ginseng extract and the ever useful Coenzyme Q10.

The addition of all of these really helps prepare our immune system to repel* these unwanted toxic invaders when our body is challenged by them.

Outstanding in its Own Field

One antioxidant formula that really fits the bill here is Tony Quinn’s Educohealth Cell Rejuvenation Mix. It has all of the above ingredients and more. This formula really packs a punch.

For those with low energy, it helps reduce tiredness and fatigue. (Niacin/ Vitamin B3, Magnesium and Vitamin C).

If cognitive performance and sexual health are issues for you it helps support both. (Panax Ginseng).

For immune health, Vitamins A, B12, B6, C, D and the mineral Zinc, play an important part.

It also helps contribute to the health of normal skin, (collagen synthesis), nails, bones, gums, teeth and hair. (Vitamin C,   Zinc).

All in all, it’s a very rounded antioxidant/multivitamin formula.

Mobilize Your Troops

So as our internal battle continues throughout the whole of our life, it swings from health to illness intermittently throughout this time.

Why not do yourself a favour and consciously support your body’s defensive troops to help them best keep you in a state of good health.

There’s nothing like looking and feeling well.

When you look in the mirror and see that glow of health, it gives you such a lift.

Don’t you think then that it is a good idea to invest in the best of yourself?

Let Cell Rejuvenation Mix help you in this. When you do you will realize why it has been so popular with our customers for the last 15 years.

When you wake up in the morning how do you feel? Are you more conscious of immune support in the time we are in?

As you get out of bed, is your energy good or are you dragging yourself around?

How is your skin when you look in the mirror? Are you happy with it?

Do your teeth and gums look good or are something else going on?

Do you feel relaxed and healthy in yourself?

In other words, are you operating at your normal healthy best?

If not, then have I got good news for you?

The Missing Link

You may be overlooking a vital nutrient in your diet that can play a big part in helping you here.

If you are one of those constantly suffering from tiredness and fatigue and dragging yourself around the place, this can be a real find for you.

There is nothing worse than not having the energy to accomplish the things that are important in our life, play with the kids, go dancing, walk in nature, do some gardening, play sport, etc. Now you can do something to help with this.

Looking and Feeling Your Best

This nutrient also helps in the collagen formation in normal healthy skin and teeth, which is especially important when you want to look your best for those special occasions, important meetings, first dates, weddings, etc.

An added bonus is it aids in the normal functioning of the nervous system and our psychological function.

This is important in the modern stressful world. Our mental health can be challenged by different stresses in our lives.

For example project deadlines, mortgage problems, study, lock-downs, etc.

Vital Immune Support

The good news is it doesn’t stop there as it also aids the immune system, that invaluable protector of the body’s health, from harmful viruses and toxins that cause disease.

This can be ideal health and immune support in these challenging times…

And lastly, it also helps contribute to the health of the bones which is a big plus with bone health issues such a big concern in the world today.

The magic nutrient I am talking about is Vitamin C.

The Difference That Makes the Difference

Vitamin C came to prominence with British sailors as far back as the mid-1700. During that time foods high in this vitamin helped prevent the dreaded disease of scurvy. Almost all of the ship’s crew were wiped out on long voyages by this horrible disease. It was then British sailors were issued limes which are a high source of Vitamin C and this put an end to this scourge of the long voyages.

The Americans coined a phrase to describe the British sailors calling them “Limeys” which has lasted to this day.

My Dad Shows the Way

When I was very young my dad used to have this unusual habit. Any time he was not feeling well he would go to bed with a big bag of oranges.

He would then only eat these oranges for the rest of that day or the next and normally this would rid him of anything that ailed him.

He swore by this yet the rest of us in the family never followed suit.

The thought of eating 10 to 12 oranges a day was too much for us.

It was years later when I learned about the health-giving properties of Vitamin C. It is then I realized how smart my dad was eating Vitamin C-rich oranges.

Where he found out about this I don’t know yet it really seemed to work for him.

Nobel Prize-Winning Scientist Champions Vitamin C

Two-time Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr. Linus Pauling was a huge fan of Vitamin C for immune support.

He recommended it for among other things the common cold and to help us age in a better way and, personally took in up to 10,000 mg of Vitamin C a day in supplemental form and spoke at length of its benefits.

At the age of 93 he died.

The great Albert Einstein said of him: “Ah that man is a real genius”

Where to find Vitamin C

A big problem is that, unlike most animals, we as humans don’t makeup vitamin C in our bodies. This means that we have to get it through our food every day.

The best natural sources of Vitamin C come mainly from fresh fruit and vegetables. These would include oranges, lemons, limes, pineapples, kiwis, yellow peppers, parsley, and thyme.

Getting in your famous ‘five a day of fresh fruit and vegetables will go a long way in supplying your vitamin C needs.

Unfortunately, some of us may find this hard to do.

It may be a busy lifestyle, long working hours, or other factors that interfere with us doing this.

An Easy Way to Supply Your Vitamin C Needs

A great way around this is to take a Vitamin C health supplement to help make sure we are amply supplied here.

It has been long touted as an invaluable health aid in immune support.

An excellent way to start on this wonder nutrient is to try Energy-C sachets, which consist of 1000mgs of vitamin C with accompanying vitamins and minerals in powder form.

With its orange flavour it is delicious to taste. Just add a little water and you are up and running.

With all of these invaluable benefits maybe it’s time you checked it out and see for yourself what Energy-C can do for you?

omegaa 3 fish oils

What Are The Best Omega 3 Fish Oil to Take?

I remember when I was a kid my mother was a big fan of omega 3 fish oil capsules.

She believed that they were the cure-all for everything that ailed her.

Every day she would pop a couple into her mouth saying “these helped keep your grandmother strong and healthy right into her old age”.

“If it worked for her it will work for me”.

One day I remember sneaking up to her room and popping a couple of these capsules in my mouth and chewing down on them.

Boy was I disappointed as they tasted awful.

Needless to say, I never went near those fish oils again.

None the less my mother swore by them and took them for years.

The History of Fish Oils

The use of fish oils has been with us from ancient times. The ancient Romans were regular users of fish oils. The fearsome Vikings prized fish oils so much they called it the “Gold of the Ocean”.

The ‘Father of Medicine’ – Hippocrates used the oil of dolphin’s liver to treat skin problems.

Throughout the centuries fish oil has held a prized spot in many cultures for its health-promoting properties.

In more recent times the Inuit people of Greenland were renowned to have one-tenth the incidence of heart disease of Americans. When analyzed, their blood was found to have much higher levels of the Omega 3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA found in fish oils.

The average daily Inuit intake of EPA and DHA was 13g a day, whereas the average American intake was nearer to 200mg a day and almost 25% of Americans had no Omega 3 at all.

This makes the average Inuit Omega 3 intake approximately 65 times greater than that of their American counterparts.

It’s amazing to see how the more traditional, close-to-nature Inuit had such superior heart health to their American cousins?

Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Omega 3 fish oils have been found to have a natural anti-inflammatory effect on the body.

Many modern illnesses today are partially triggered by inflammation.

Among those illnesses are arthritis, asthma, and any illness that ends in itis, rhinitis, sinusitis, etc.

It would then seem to be a good idea to set our body in a more anti-inflammation mode.

This is where Omega 3 fish oils come into their own.

Omega 3 fish oil contains both Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

There is also another type of Omega 3 Alpha-linolenic Acid derived from plants.

However, it has a much lower rate of conversion to EPA and DHA than from fish oil.

The EPA and DHA help balance the effects of high levels of the pro-inflammatory Arachidonic Acid in our body.

European Study Fish Oil Findings

Research by scientists at the European Food Safety Authority shows that DHA and EPA have significant roles in helping to contribute to normal blood pressure (3 g per day).

They also help normalize triglycerides (2 g per day) and the normal function of the heart (0.25 g per day).

Wow! This is big news for those interested in heart health.

It’s amazing to think of the natural heart support that can be had here.

Nature has a way of trying to help to look after us all.

Think about this for a minute! These are three health factors we all need to be aware of as we age. Each one is a big concern in the western world.

DHA also contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function (0.25 g per day) and also contributes to the maintenance of normal vision (0.25 g per day).

With the worrying concern of cognitive issues with our elderly population, the Omega 3 seems like a very good support option here.

Maybe this is the reason that fish has often been referred to as brain food.

Our eyesight and vision are vital parts of our life. The Omega 3 also plays a support role in our eye health.

The Old Wives Tales with Some Truth

So as you can see there is probably some truth to those old wives’ tales of the benefits of Omega 3 rich fish oils.

Those wise women seemed to instinctively know the benefits to be had by using them. This is probably why they have had such long-enduring popularity throughout the ages.

Many cultures have a tradition of fish-eating, particularly those who lived beside the sea. Other cultures often included eating fish one day a week, often on a Friday.

However, in more recent times people appear to be turning away from the more natural way of eating. Instead, people are eating more processed foods.

Fast food and takeaways have become very popular. Maybe this is due to people working long hours or recent lockdowns etc.

This can lead us to overlook our Omega 3’s.

Probably the best way around this is to take an Omega 3 supplement.

Chief among these are fish oils in either capsule or liquid form.

All Omega 3 fish Oils are Equal – some more Equal than Others

What are the best fish oils to take?

One big concern in relation to fish oils is pollution. We have probably heard of mercury being found in some of the big fish, tuna, etc.

This too can be found in fish oils. Not only that other harmful pollutants like PCBs and Dioxins can be found there too.

This is definitely not what you would like to find in your health-giving fish oils.

An ideal way around this is to always make sure that you are getting fish oils that are molecularly distilled to help remove these harmful toxins.

One such fish oil supplement is Bio Oils by Tony Quinn Educohealth.

The Power of Bio-Oils

Firstly Bio-Oils are sourced from fish swimming in some of the cleanest waters in the world off the west coast of Peru in South America.

Then they are molecularly distilled for purity and encapsulated under Nitrogen.

This capsule form helps provide excellent protection for these sensitive oils against oxidation and damage from light.

In contrast, liquid oil preparations may oxidize easily once opened.

Omega 3 Bio-Oils also contains over twice as much EPA and DHA as conventional fish oil capsules, the highest concentration available in natural triglyceride form.

This makes Bio-Oils a stand-out performer in the Omega 3/Fish Oil market.

Family Values

My mother used them, my granny used them and I’m sure that her mother before her used them.

They all swore to the benefits that Omega 3 did for them.

As I got older and more into healthy living I took up my mother’s good fish oil habit and began to see what she was so enthusiastic about.

I have to say they were one of the best health moves I ever made.

Of all the fish oils the one that stood out head and shoulders above the rest for me was the Educohealth Bio-Oils.

I love their purity and the fact that they have so much EPA and DHA in them.

This means a lot to me as someone who is very into health.

An Ounce of Prevention is Better than a Pound of Cure

The health-giving properties of fish oils are like a personal insurance policy to help us operate at our heart-healthy, brain-healthy best.

It seems like a no-brainer than to include the Bio-Oils in your daily nutrition routine.

Then you will begin to realize why the old wives had it right in their fondness for their health-giving benefits.

The Bio Oils have brought these benefits into the 21st century and along with the latest science help make them the best possible they can be.

Your brain, heart, and eyes will thank you for their support.
